Step by step: Our cleaning process
Our first job is to sheet up all the surrounding areas of your property to protect your surfaces and collect all the debris that falls. We also block all your drainpipes so that the moss doesn’t fall into them.
Using our specialist roof scraping equipment we work from ground level to remove all the build-up of moss from your roof tiles.
Next, we apply a layer of our smart clean extreme roof cleaner. It’s powerful enough to break down all known algae, moss and dirt in a safe, biodegradable way.
Once the smart clean extreme roof cleaning solution has impregnated the surface of your roof, we wash down and apply a roof sealant which protects tiles from the damp British weather and creates a resilient barrier that prevents dirt and debris from settling on the surface.
We then gather up the sheeting and remove all mess and waste from your property.
While we wait 45 mins for our roof cleaner to take effect, we keep busy with our Sky Vacs, cleaning out any debris from your gutters. Our Sky Vacs allow us to work from the safety of ground level whilst performing a thorough moss removal from your guttering.

We use hot and cold pressure washers, soft wash poles, gutter vacuums, as well as a variety of different access equipment from aluminium tele-scaffolding to boardwalks.
For residential roofs, generally yes. However, in rare circumstances we will come across an asbestos roof, and due to health and safety and legislation, we are unable to treat an asbestos roof and at that point we will refund any deposits or money paid.
This depends on your physical location and proximity of things like overhanging trees. Typically a roof that has been cleaned and then treated with a biocide will only need to be looked after every two years - so it's a biennial clean. However, each roof is unique and therefore the answer depends on the specific circumstances.
Yes. The initial part of the moss is removed with a scraper or a low-pressure wash and then the roof is treated with a commercial-grade biocide - this is a much stronger and more effective concentration of a very powerful chemical which isn't available in DIY stores. It will consequently remove and kill the roots of the moss that's embedded into the tile. It will also be resistant to the moss and algae returning.
